Early on in my coaching career, I acquired some remnants of a gymnasium floor that was in rough condition and had numerous dead spots after years of use. My father and I spent an entire day pulling every usable board from the demolition site. Two truck loads later, I had an amazing stash of 10' x 2" planks. This piece is one of many that came from that haul.
My workshop at that time was my in-law's one-car garage where I stored my table saw and tools. To work on the desk, I would park their car on the street and pull the table saw and my tools to the center of the garage. At the end of each work session, I would put everything back into my designated corner so I could re-park the car in the garage. From start to finish, this process was repeated dozens of times. (For what it's worth, table saws are heavy!) The desk graced every classroom and office throughout my teaching career and is one of the first, truly custom pieces I built.
I'd love to discuss your project. Call or email me today!
